Methodology
How we match products and check offers before we call anything Verified.
Product, variant, listing, offer
A product is the model (for example Dyson V15 Detect Absolute). A variant is what we actually compare: colour, capacity and regional version. A GCC unit and an international unit are different variants; comparing them would be a wrong answer even when the model matches.
Matching
We match each listing to a variant in order: GTIN, then brand and model number, then text and image similarity, then a language model, then a human reviewer. We record the method and confidence, and anything uncertain goes to a human.
Price freshness
Every price has a lifetime set by its source's licence: at most 24 hours for Amazon, 12 hours for noon. When it runs out, the price disappears automatically instead of going stale.
What “Verified” means
A product is published only after it passes 15 checks, each recorded in an append-only log. Checks marked “human-checked” only count when a person passed them.

Scoring
We compute a score out of 5 from the five features published on “How we rank”. Some problems (knock-outs) remove a product from the picks whatever its score.
